In-line Speed Skating, Volleyball, Ten-Pin Bowling, Cycling, Swimming, Muay-Thai, Bossaball, Squash and More!
In-line Speed-Skating
Currently, I have been unable to skate in quite a well. In part, due to the fact that I do not have a reliable vehicle that I can really use and also, that I really just don't have the luxury of time. Hopefully, will get to roll, before the end of the year though..
Volleyball
I really need to find the time to get back to the sand, find a decent partner and rock the courts once again.
Swimming
I have recently teaching a friend how to swim, who's immigrating to the USA, in order to become and au pair. As simple as this may sound, let me just put this into perspective: Even for a national competitive swimmer, it is exceptionally difficult to teach someone who is petrified of water and has never been in a pool before.
Muay Thai
Muay Thai is going well, except for a panelling I received last night, from the biggest guy at our Dojo. They generally make us skip for half an hour, before we start training, but directly after a rather taxing swimming lesson, left my arms to feel like jelly. Then, during sparring, I just could not hold my arms up any longer...crack! One broken nose. It will heal quite quickly though, hopefully...
My new training gloves. The old ones died underneath a thatch roof sadly...
Bossaball
I just returned from The Netherlands, where I participated in the Haribo National Camping Tour. It was without a doubt, a life-altering experience...
Freek, Evaline, Elric and myself, at a Pub/Grill in Amsterdam on our day off...
One of the camp-sites, with little Gabriella catching a glance of the camera. She is without a doubt, one of the most amazing female footballers, I have ever seen. She actually plays for the Dutch National Junior Team.
Some of the beautiful scenery of Utrecht, the home base of Bossaball.
Squash
Squash is going well - still getting my bottom handed to me on a platter by Warren, lord of the squash. It's going to take some time for my hands to heal and for my backhand to return, after the metacarpal dislocations.
